Have you ever wondered what all those buttons, dials and switches in a cockpit are for? Or what actually

A "Discovery Flight" is designed to allow you to "discover" the joy of flight. If you've never been up in a
single engine airplane before or if you're just thinking about learning to fly and not quite sure, this is a great
way to start. Chuck Stroman offers a fun and affordable way to see if pursuing your Private Pilot License
is right for you... and the time can be recorded in you log book and count towards your private pilots
license, if you choose to pursue it.
You'll meet Chuck Stroman when you arrive at the airport, and be given a tour of Covington Municipal
Airport and have a preflight briefing. You learn many interesting facts about your aircraft as Chuck
coaches you through preflight inspection, cockpit orientation, run up and taxi to the active runway... but the
best feeling will be taking the controls, with Chuck's guidance, applying full throttle and taking off for a
30-minute training flight. No previous experience is necessary, but you probably will be able to do the first
take off yourself. Then learn how to maneuver the aircraft through turns, climbs, and glides, and fly the
aircraft back to the airport. It's a great way to start someone's career or even change their life. Just call to
